Mechanical Caterpillar C7 ACERT Missing and Blowby. (Video)

BigStickJr , Yeah after considering all options we are leaning that way. I called Lale today and asked him to work up a quote on a full rebuild. If it's $21,000 or below I'm going that route. I'm excited to have this unit back on the road because it's such a nice truck. I plan to take it on...

Mechanical Caterpillar C7 ACERT Missing and Blowby. (Video)

Good observations boss, It did begin to get worse recently. But I believe I also may have mis stated due to a lack of knowing exactly how much oil was being lost. I also drove it and didn't feel that it was lacking power. I mean, I was able to hit 75 MPH on the way to the shop no problem...

Mechanical Caterpillar C7 ACERT Missing and Blowby. (Video)

Thanks bigstick, It's using an absolute :censoredsign: ton of oil right now. Which just began happening. I put at least a quart a day in it. It's primarily local use truck - 10,000 per year. It has good power. It only misses like this when it's cold and below 1,000rpms. C7 is not sleeved...

Hi, Still need opinions. With the amount of blowby seen, is that a pretty good indication that she's toast?

    hino cruise control issue

Check your brake pedal. I had a hino where the return spring on the brake pedal was weak, and so the brakes were not engaged, but the lights were on and the computer thought they were engaged due to the pedal not being fully retracted. hope that makes sense, kinda hard to explain

    Mechanical Cummins ISB 6.7 Knock/Clatter?

So the truck went in for a basic PM, and as I was leaving the lot, I saw a technician walking across the lot... I asked him, "Hey there boss, can you spare a second and listen to this '08 ISB Cummins idling?" he replied, "Yeah, absolutely what's up?" and I said, "You hear anything abnormal?" to...

    Mechanical Cummins ISB 6.7 Knock/Clatter?

Hello and good afternoon, I purchased a 2008 Freightliner M2 with a Cummins ISB 6.7 in it. The engine has a general clatter/knock that I can't identify. I took a video and will link it below. Is anyone willing to hazard a guess before I take it in? Thanks for your time :)

    2015 freightliner business class m2 vs. 2015 imternational 4300

I've owned both! M2 without a question... Tighter turn radius, better support, bigger windows (You don't think this matters until you miss your larger window going from M2 yo 4300), more power (dont know how... Rated the same but my 220-hp M2 dominates up our local hill) oh and here's a tip you...

Mechanical 2006 Freightliner M2 106: Allison Transmission Blinking Orange Transmission Light

UPDATE: So it turns out all of my transmission issues were due solely to the electronic control module on the transmission. Also, here is the video of what it was doing prior to repair: It was shorting out. Replaced for $1,528.33 and truck shifts flawlessly and all transmission related issues...
