    hazmat loads

Yeah, I get paid 3 1/2 cents more per mile for hazmat. I haven't had to pull any though because my co driver lacks the endorsement. I fully understand your point. I agree, those loads should pay significantly more due to the danger involved.

    hazmat loads

Ha, old thread.... Think of it as more loads instead of the pay for the load.

GPS What kind of Truck GPS do you use?

I'm using a garmen which serves its purpose "BUT," it has certain cities that it seems to have a hard time with. Oddly enough Kansas City gets the garmen crossed up terribly and not surprising is New York City.

    Redundant questions of an expediter

yeah, been sleeping at every chance I get. The first day was kind of an adrenaline rush so sleeping/napping was not easily achieved. Sitting in west Memphis hoping for one of those random calls. Full stomach and eight hours of sleep and I'm ready to roll.

    Redundant questions of an expediter

Oh man, I looked up that company and with five trucks they are loaded with DOT violations. kinda weird how their violations were posted online but there they were and it seems like it's not a good fit for a new Otr driver. Also, the guy that they wanted me to team up with doesn't want to team...

    Redundant questions of an expediter

Talked to a gentleman today that has no affiliation with Panther and although we haven't discussed anything other than I will be on % rather than ppm, he was open to discussing what they typically receive per mile and I quote him at between " 1.50 to 3.00 per mile." This is substantially higher...

    Redundant questions of an expediter

 Well received one phone call today and was offered a driving team position and would receive .24 per mile and we pay fuel. Wouldn't tell me their location or which company they are. He kept representing himself only as "Panther expedite." Something didn't seem right about this...

    Redundant questions of an expediter

The girl was the first one. I was only given able to reach one driver to speak to. So three if you include the girl and the guy with no phone number. Maybe I didn't explain clearly up above. With the first one being the girl, I was simply inquiring about the job at first so packing my bags...

    Redundant questions of an expediter

Well I only was matched up with two drivers, the first one I called had his phone service cancelle, so I never got to speak with him. The second one which was given to me only a few days ago was in Pensacola Florida which is way too far away for me. Five and a half hours south without traffic to...

    Redundant questions of an expediter

Ouch, may I ask why you made that conclusion?

    Redundant questions of an expediter

Well they just told me that I offended a driver by not agreeing to drive with him because he didn't have the endorsements that I have and that they won't stand for it. Also stated that I am too picky. Complete lies and I am completely confused by this situation. I was completely professional...

    Redundant questions of an expediter

Gratuitous use of exclamations, you are passionate. Lol I have absolutely zero experience in expedite. I do although have ten years experience driving boom and dump trucks, mostly combined. My reasoning behind team driving was that it seemed a wise decision while getting feet wet. Having...
