    Big Truck Cab Access

If you get a cube that is over 10k gvrw you better put a dot approved sleeper in it or get used to staying in hotels. Most cubes do come with a doorway. But if you just throw your belongings in the front of the box and show up at a shipper that wants to seal the truck you won't be able to take...

AT&T or Verizon for over the road. We run our tracking Sylectus Mobile and those two keep up the best. What's scary is I have 1 driver using Net10 and he does better tmobile, boost, metropcs, and sprint.

Good deal or should I pass .?

I wouldn't buy that style liftgate.. get the one that goes under the truck. That things gonna get in the way of any dock lock. At least you can chock up with an underneath style.

    Need some thoughts please.

Fleet ownership is a lot of work. You have to find reliable repair places. Not only by your business but abroad. You have to be able to do some work yourself. You have know something about the trucks you have, common problems, repair intervals, etc. Then keep after those trucks making sure...

    How new to buy?

Whoever told you that isn't reading it right. It's no "trailers" over 10 years. I have seen it say in the notes no straights or vans over 7 before but the contract gm sends over doesn't state that at all. Certain brokers if you haul direct for them do require a certain year range, usually 5 to...

Cargo Van good places to be and where not to go

Actually yes I have personally delivered mirrors to suburu and I do have options all over Northwest Indiana, but 90% of the time I load my drivers to lafayette it's the run to get them home. You see my business is in hobart about 90 minutes out.

Cargo Van good places to be and where not to go

Simple answer is there's no bad place anywhere. I have gotten everyone out somehow, someway. Yes there are places that definitely have more frequency than others. It comes down to being in the right place at the right time, right broker to give your bid to, and right price.

    Winter Driving

Yeah I had a driver total two 16' footers in less then 48 hours last year... Icy ramp entering the expressway, side swiped a pickup. Then avoiding a collision he decided to use a rock wall as the brakes. Ripped it open like a can of sardines.
