Theres definetely advantages of which I am well aware. That wasnt my point...having spent a fair amount of time driving the "big trucks" it juust looks small sometimes. Pretty much anyone going from a tractor trailer to a "6-wheeler" will feel the same way occasionally.

you can help your wife get her cdl, all she needs is a learners permit, you can teach her and then go take the driving and pretrip test. also, it may not bother you, actually it may not bother anyone else on the planet but when you re parked in a truck stop, your truck just looks incredibly...

a little FYI... if you here drivers saying ( on the radio) that such and such truck stop is full and no parking left, my experience has always been to be able to squeeze in somewhere with my D unit.

NC is ok for freight but doesnt come close to TN. TN rocks. No personal state income tax, pleasant climate, freindly people, you ve got the mountains, Good roads, 70 mph speed limits. TN is THE place.

Tennessee is very nice and is fairly easy to get back out of. (load wise) Somewhere near Atlanta would work too.

follow the rules...blah blah blah, just because the rules are there doesnt make them right. I drive trucks and will go out of my way to be safe and get a load delivered on time. Theres enough crap to deal with living on the road without this. Just because the government makes rules doesnt mean...

Buddy I dont have any problem following rules or obeying the law but when an inadvertent mistake can blow you out of the water I draw the line.
