Yes sometimes they will offer a paid empty move to a board with better daily average. It doesn't cover all the gas but it sure helps, always ask driver relations for that option before moving fully on your own dime. Depends on the day and how many other units available on the boards. Good luck

Problem is short of reading on E/O no one would know how flawed Panthers system in regard to "solo vans" really is...without learning for yourself the hard way after being out from orientation with stars in your eyes. After the stars fade, the team preferences and cheaper contract favoritism...

Well I've been informed it's not a first in first out operation any longer. So basically Throw board position right out the window it's now truck closest to shipper wins the race mostly. It's bad when five miles or so of deadhead they don't want to pay costs you another day sitting.
