update on the horrible situation/company I am with.

I had a conversation with the owner this morning about the mess with my pay check the only thing he agreed to pay me back was the tolls on the etr 407 that were with another trucks license plate and not mine and the money I was owed for manually unloading my truck by hand. the receiver said they...

update on the horrible situation/company I am with.

I don't have anything that is theirs..I think If I don't do any trips for them before my notice time is up is what I am afraid they will ding me with. I am going to ask for a copy of my contract as it was never given to me. I would like to leave right now but don't want to screw myself any...

first the good news (very little) I gave them my notice over a week ago that I will be leaving them. Also found better companies to take me and my straight truck on and decided I will go with tone of them as it is all around better pay and set up. the bad news. The recruiter said I have to...

Thats what I was told...and it gets worse..Today I was fortunate to be a the same pick up ware house as a couple of other guys who work for the same company. We usually don't ever see eachother to talk because we are rarely in the same place. Both of them were basically telling me that what is...

let me know what you think? am I being screwed?

I think they give you a little on top. the company I am with now gives you basically about $20 bucks for every 1000 loaded miles. Really lousy.

let me know what you think? am I being screwed?

I don't know what "no forced dispatch"? is or means the van rate is no mistake! their philosphy is that if there are no vans around and your next up then a van rate money is better then no money and they send you but don't tell you it is a van rate. I am planning on leaving, as I hate...

let me know what you think? am I being screwed?

I wont have a problem naming this company as I think this is benficial on these boards as it informs the members of what is going on out there and with what companies. But right now I am going to bite my lip for a couple of weeks Just in case they have a company member on here. I need somewhere...

That is what I thought..My wife and I just looking at your post and she had been telling me this, that she thought there was something wrong. let me know what you think? am I being screwed?

Got my first check from my company the other day and I found it a little disturbing. My very first trip they paid me at a van rate. I am not a van. I have a 16-foot box truck and I am listed with the company as a truck. I don’t mind getting van rates on return trips because they help pay the...

when should you refuse a load?

I couldn't agree more...Why send a guy 100s and 100s miles away knowing chances are he will dead head back?? only because they are only looking at their end screw the driver!

when should you refuse a load?

thanks for the answer...is this because the economy is still slow or because companies don' t care where they send their owner operators, because it is not a company vehicle or company driver so send them and if they burn the company gets their cut either way, let the o/o sit and make nothing...
