Why a Sprinter or Cargo Maxx VS Box/Cube Van

Watch for used 12' cube. You have to have gvwr of 10,000 lbs or less. I would look for a single rear wheel also. It needs to have some sort of air deflector on the cab or front of the box...a big one that eleminates most if not all of the flat front on the box. I think there are threads on here...

Why a Sprinter or Cargo Maxx VS Box/Cube Van

Personally, I like the cube vans like Scott's. Im at the Load1 yard now and there are several around here. I like 'em. The good ones are hard to find. You need one with the right gvw. Its a real job to find one set up just right with right box length, empty wieght and gvwr. My understanding is...

    Sprinter Owners

Its all a matter of profit per mile to me. If my per mile avg is where I want it, then its a matter of doing the right things to keep freight on the truck or van. That, in turn, gets the overall revenue up. My research tells me that I can run close to, maybe as much, profit with the CargoMax as...

    Sprinter Owners

Before buying my CargoMax, I talked to a lot of GM van owners and its my understanding that 500-600,000 mile lifespan is a reasonable expectation with some going much farther. Sprinters will do at least as well and likely better. If you buy a 3 y/o tractor with 300-400,000 miles and expect to...

    Time for a change

How long is a while? Do you or have you ever owned a truck? Driving for a fleet owner is a good way to learn the business and find out whether you like it before investing in a truck. I knew I wanted to own my truck and could afford it, so that is how I started. Everybody's situation is...

Expediting Companies with their own Fleet Straight Trucks

Some will, some wont. My advice, make a list...numbered in preference. Start calling from the top and find out.

    hiring on with C&M ....

They are top shelf. The 3 week hold back can definitely be tough on ya...and it will actually be the 4th week before you see the cash. Its worth the trouble if you can do it though. Good luck MorningStar... hope you can get it worked out :)

Too much respect for Cal and Mike for that. Besides, Im pretty sure John would have to buy C&M to get HS. He left em once and was pretty happy to get back. Honestly...in a straight truck, I would have stayed. I think the vans do better here though. Its a business decision.
