    Tsa

simply, after 4 years delay, the TSA finely implemented a program last summer, requiring shippers ,WHS's and everyone involved in the supply chain of freight going on passengers aircraft to be background ,monitors and approved by the TSA. those shipments account for roughly 17 % of all...

    NTSB vs FMCSA

As a direct result of that NYC bus accident ,we now see the National Safety Administrating Bord making it's way into the FMCSA responsibility's . we can all expect tougher regulation in the future, as ATSB recommendations MUST be dressed by the regulatory agency. and i vaguely remember...

    Today's Fleet Owners

Absolutely, those machines are not for everyone. i stated this myself here many times over. they needs to be spec't ,driven and maintained right. one should have a good grip in reality before buying those for others to drive. from what i know, the new Hino's models went a long way, and are going...

    Today's Fleet Owners

Holding my grounds. by the time those trucks are fully paid for and ready to be sold or traded in, the Owner already made a good ROI. 7 times over. i already gave away one good working truck, after it finished it's business cycle. i could not care less. wanna be my friend ? :)

    Today's Fleet Owners

the question is not WHY they do it, but what are the result of such action ? AND is if lawful ! if the fleets are giving a copy of the full sign contract to the drivers to keep in the truck, it MIGHT hold grounds. but if those fleets are keeping some of that cheese to themselves, then the...

    Today's Fleet Owners

Why on earth would a truck owner be even slightly concern about the vehicle resale value ?

    Today's Fleet Owners

don't know what was your personal experience, but from what i witness, those vans are carefully monitors, and a nice piece of technology. a carrier can no longer hold TSA certificate for freight going on passengers aircraft without participating in the full TSA program. if you ask me, the...

    Today's Fleet Owners

O'h i see, so that's why 'some large expedite carriers' are in bed with large fleet owners... you know, better PPM/FSC/dispatch favoritism,Ext. but don't tell anyone just yet...it's the industry most kept secret. and i always thought it was simply to screw over the little guy, guess i was...

    Today's Fleet Owners

not to highjack the OP, but since the sprinters loads came up here... i recently became aware of carriers out of Expedite ,moving sprinters expedite freight in an efficient way across many regional areas of the country. it will take more then just 'stealing st. trucks loads' to keep those...

    New air filters

Yes but Greg, this is not a "K&N" ! this is a totally new product using the K&N brand for marketing. i will buy one for my big rig when i get to it, now that i have the opportunity to maintain that 'washable' filter. as far as i know, they do not have a filter a size of the Hino intake box.

    Sleeping in the top bunk

Back in Aug. 2008, OOIDA had a case where a 2 male team drivers where placed OOS in a chicken house for driving a truck with only one bed . they show sleeperborth at the same time in the logbook. :o OOIDA actually helps the defenders in court, but i never herd the end of it. anybody know ?

    April 2011 locations!

As an 'Owner' you should know that driving your 'Owner' broke is pricing 'yourself' out of the market. a load to a bad area can be average up. a load to nowhere is a per load operations in the Expedite Rssetta Stoned. for all of you L1/JD cheerleaders, better save your cheese . - a...

What are you looking for from a carrier?

fuel advances : no needs . Carrier provided fuel card : a carrier is expected to negotiate fuel discounts for the fleet, or to join a national flee card. however , a carrier can pay a higher %tage if a contractor is buying it's own fuel, as the carrier upfront's costs & cash flow are effected...

Kate's wedding dress sketched by Project Runway designers

Well, i don't. i think the sister dress was awful, and when her majesty looks at her wedding picture from behind, all she will see is her sister butt. but you right, kate's smile at the ally was to die for.

    New Venture

Good luck Steve, hope you'll do well. in all the research that i have done over they years, i DID NOT found Expedite to be a best place for a tractor team, and definitely not the best paying job for a solo tractor. simply put, the loads don't pay enough . expediting the E division sure makes...
