    Fxcc maiden voyage

I flew into Dallas and a driver I had never met picked me up. ( let the jokes begin.) We were "lucky" enough to sit in Dallas 5 days before the crackerhead co-driver found a load he liked. In those 5 days I learned the things you learn in orientation and was able to analyze the load offers...

That's where "It's not my job" came from. Like me walking thru this parking lot they're paving. If someone asked me to move the roller, I couldn't. OVM, do you get frustrated by the lack of skills demonstrated by people on forklifts ?

    Tval- br units, help please?

OP said earlier that his friend only nets 19% of the gross. 5 DR TVal units ( common fleet size) X $300,000 per year ( common yearly gross) X 19% net = $285,000. Let's say you hire crappy drivers and they only average $200,000 per truck that should put you near $190,000 to stay at home and...

    Tval- br units, help please?

I believe after a year you can try again. I think TK is doing better on correcting this problem. You're not the only TK in this position.. Does anyone know of a BR doing well west of the Mississippi ? Do BR solos miss a lot of opportunities to teams over security issues ?

    $33.77 per hour

I love it when a $35,000 a year worker talks about a guy doing similar work for $70,000 per year paying outrageous union dues. Dues are typically 1.5-2 hours pay per month. In my 19 years as a union member it never once seemed to be a problem. Not at 24 when I bought my first new car. A 77...

    $33.77 per hour

Believe it or not, plan B may be poorer quality. If a worker must stay at his station all day his mind may wonder, he'll goof off, etc. let the worker build his quantity of columns that pass quality and get on with his life. You get good parts, he lives a good life. It's a win-win.

looking for advice on wheel base of a straight truck

If the lift axle is in back that'd be a 306" wb if the axles were flipped. A tandem is measured center of steer to center of tandem.( space between wheels.) With lift axle you measure center of steer to center of powered axle. 52 , 54, or 56 in spacing is typical in us. A Canadian spread...
