Dennis, It's not vacuum, it's an electronic actuator. Early models used a vacuum transducer that was located behind the drivers side headlight. When they put the turbo resonator unit in the 2004 models, everything went electronic. It's feasible that the actuator is failing since there is a...

That's one reason I wanted him to say where he is hearing the noise. Engine area or under the van.

Put the gearshift in low and shift manually. See if it does it. Are you hearing it under the van or in the engine? No, not with a turbo.

Ken, Jim and I are coming up empty as well. Can you describe the noise? Don't say "Bang" Compare it to something. What area of the engine do you hear it from??

Turbo problem shouldn't affect the idle. Sounds more like a fuel related issue. Injectors or fuel pump. Maybe even something simple like a restricted fuel filter. Did you notice excessive fuel use?

    Heartbroken

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and condolences. We are dealing with the strange feelings of Chloe's absence, and have noticed that our other dogs are acting strangely as well. Obviously, they know she is no longer here. They parade around the house with their noses in the air...

    Heartbroken

Our littlest girl passed away this morning from cancer. It was our privilege to share our lives with this unique little dog. She is already sorely missed. She was 9. I called her "My Little Trucker Girl" because I took her to her first vet visit in my pick up. She huddled up next to me the...

    How do I restart qualcomm?

Couple of mine have done some strange things as well. Main thing is to let Steve know and if he can't resolve it quickly, your next call should be to dispatch to let them know you have a problem with it.

    How do I restart qualcomm?

If it happens again, contact Steve Briggs at the office and he can tell you what's up and do a soft boot to see if the Qualcomm will reset. If that doesn't work, the guys in the shop will have to look at it.

Cheri, My wife and I are so very sorry for your loss. We have been where you are, and unfortunately will be there again soon. As well read as you are, you probably have seen this poem, but I will post it here for you and any other members that have lost a faithful companion. It helped...

    Chef Dennis's New CargoMax

Chef, in answer to your question, not as much as I expected. Averaged out at about 1 to 1 1/2 mpg. It seems that the slant of the sprinter nose and windshield carries the air over the a/c unit and hits the generator case at about the center. The nose of the case is slanted as well and...
