Mike Huckabee for President? Just Say No

I am not familiar with the name Herman Cain.

Mike Huckabee for President? Just Say No

Let's clear the air on this one. The GOP isn't going to nominate a preacher for US President. Why does Huckabee even bother? Self-promotion... sell more books, enhance his speaking fees. Can we find a viable candidate who isn't a preacher or community organizer, please? Perhaps, someone...

Why not use a trailer with a van or pick up?

The idea of using a cargo van as the power unit for a combination vehicle seems a little unusual. Maybe if one had a manual transmission and a heavy duty upgrade. Prolonged use of the stock automatic transmission as an integral part of the drivetrain which is pulling a small trailer strikes me...

    Wisconsin Union Woes

The Big Government gravy train is over. We are a debtor nation. Our federal government operates on debt. Many of our states and cities are broke as well. The days of borrowing money to mask over problems are dwindling. Those who depend on government payrolls, or have future hopes of drawing...

    Gingrich warns Obama

My apologies. I thought you were trying to be funny or light-hearted, so I responded in kind.

    Gingrich warns Obama

Might I suggest, if you are going to equate Hawking with a religious mind, that it should be someone such as Franklin Graham.

    Gingrich warns Obama

Stephen Hawking can hold any view of God he pleases. It's one man's opinion. Why bring religion into the discussion except to muddy the water?

    Gingrich warns Obama

Yes, Newt will always be a lightning rod for his detractors. That aside, these hilarious attempts to depict Gingrich as having an ignorant or wrong understanding of the legislative process or inner workings of Congress is just that... hilarious. Gingrich fully appreciates the system of...

    Gingrich warns Obama

Impeachments are rare, but fascinating. In an interview with Newsmax this week, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich warned that Obama's pronouncement his administration would no longer defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) could lead to a constitutional crisis. Gingrich makes the...

Yes, according to a report at Courier-Journal.com.... the tractor was pulling two trailers.

    FedX driver rear ends SUV

TeamCaffee... if the accident in question was the same one I saw in a news clip from local television, then it was a tractor pulling double trailers. The news clip gave an aerial view as seen from a helicopter. I will do a little more digging for info. Very sad for all involved.

    FedX driver rear ends SUV

A few more details about this crash can be found at WAVE3.com which is a website for the Louisville TV station. The little info available there indicates the FedEx semi driver wasn't expected to be cited.

Did the US and capitalism save Egypt?

I would prefer to believe the Egyptian military felt empathy and compassion for their fellow countrymen. These civilians were their relatives, neighbors and friends.

    Libertarianism

The statistics I most often see indicate US Muslim population to be approximately 2.5 million; giving them less than 1% of the total US population.

    Libertarianism

OKay, Greg. When Libertarians gain some credibility and winning elections on the strength of their ideas, we will be forced to take notice. I just don't see it happening anytime soon. I like so much of their economic policies, it leaves me wondering how they can be so wrong on important...

Wis. troopers sent to find Democrats, no one home

Is anyone else seeing a pattern with "Run Away" Democrats? Imagine if Barack Obama fled the country rather than fulfill his sworn constitutional duties. You gotta know new legislation is being crafted to prevent this nonsense from happening in the future. These runaways make a mockery of good...

    Libertarianism

Here is an example of Libertarians trying desperately to attach themselves to something meaningful. The Tea Party movement is all about electing Conservatives to office, not electing fringe groups (e. g. Libertarians). Of the thousands of political officeholders nationwide, I am unaware of...

    Libertarianism

Reality check: Libertarianism has never held power or governed in this country. The Libertarian Party has no real influence and cannot get enough traction to pull itself out of the ideological ditch. It's a surreal pipedream... an embarrassingly naive philosophy which sounds good to 17...

    Libertarianism

Lawrence... I admire your grit and optimistic fervor for the forlorned Libertarian cause. While the registered voters aligned with the Libertarian Party in the United States equals less than 1% of our national population, Libertarians enjoy the multiplier effect brought about by unbridled...

    Libertarianism

Jimby, I understand the attraction of a catchy slogan. Moreover, I actually like some of their platform. Still, there is a vast chasm between Libertarians and conservatives on many social issues and foreign policy.
