    HELP ME PLEASE . . .

Hedgehog, after reading your post I'm not sure who should be offended or what genie is out of the bottle. I'm sure that the long time veterans of the business have seen better times and have no problem saying so. Expediting is overpopulated with vans. This is just members being honest about what...

    no cheap freight

I know 2 guys that put discounted van loads in their D trucks to get back from the TexMex border last week. If the alternative is leaving empty, how much money do you take out of your pocket to stand on principle? It is a frustrating game to have to play. I think the difference between us and...

    Cell Phone Service Providers

I'm with Altell and was told that there was a small chance of roaming charges, but I haven't seen any yet. The coverage is good and it doesn't drop calls too very much.

    Thinking about fiding a driver

I'm not a fleet owner, but I think it will be more of a headache than it's worth. You're probably gonna take a hit selling it with that many miles on an '06, but that's better than the potential hassle that could happen with a driver. IMHO.

Canada Wheres a good place to work

Right now getting that many miles will be tough. When it picks up you can do that much and more. In general, expedite is overpopulated with vans. As far as what company to choose, have you talked to Thompson? I was with them for over 6 years, until they eliminated the U.S. part of the fleet...

The trucker atlas costs more than $3.95. The atlas you referred to has basic maps, no truck info. Even the year old truck atlas on sale is more than $3.95.

    Cell Phone Service Providers

Three phones? Must be a good story. I have two, business and personal. The one I use most is Altell. I'm very happy with it. Excellent coverage, doesn't drop calls very much. The other is Verizon. So far, it's O.K. I switched from Nextel. Their customer service is absolutely the pits. It's a...

Bush -Gas - Imagration and Taxes

I was on-board with the "I don't have to pay" folks for a while. That was until an IRS agent, wearing a blue helmet, landed a black helicopter in my front yard and said I better pay up.

Even if it wasn't an illegal turn he failed to do it in a competent manner. He's definately at fault.

not sure if this is right spot for question

Silverdollar, the question asked was about trucker information. If your mommy had ever shown you a $3.95 atlas, you would know that it has very little, if any, trucker info.

    I Just don't get it

Letsrock, while I do see and even agree with the point you make, I think you're wrong about the rampant egomania. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but I find it to be the exception. Most who post regularly here do so because they want to help, not keep deep, dark secrets in their back pockets...
