Fox no longer a news organization

I understand this concept: if I don't give money to the government, it can't provide the infrastructure and services I rely upon to conduct my business. The government doesn't "confiscate" money, it is a voluntary arrangement, and it has worked pretty well for more than 200 years...

Generators Any one used or using this Generator?

I did a quick drive through the Love's in Vandalia, Ohio today, and saw several XPO vans parked there, in front. Oh, and one Nations Express, too. Funny, I don't usually pay any attention to the front lot, but I wanted to get in & out quick, so I cut through the front. ;)

Garbage inspection, coming to your neighborhood?

I dislike glass because it's highly breakable, and I'm a confirmed klutz, and blood is hard to clean out of everything, on the road. Are there no nonbreakable alternatives?

Cato's 'study' assumes recipients get all the available welfare, which is just ludicrous. There are 7 programs: Temporary Assistance To Needy Families [notice the first word? This is the only one that provides 'cash', but not much, not for long, and since '96, only if the recipient is working...

    Seed-Hogging Squirrel Gets Pranked

We've always hung birdfeeders with fishing line to discourage the squirrels - it's hard for them to grip it. The cayenne is a great tip, though.

I agree that we shouldn't be spending way more than we take in, but the R side only wants to make cuts [in taxes & programs], whereas it seems we should also be considering the 'taking in' side of the equation. And the misconception about welfare is just abysmally ignorant: it doesn't pay...

    Truck Refrigerators

I've always preferred the cheap fridge over the expensive models, with 2 caveats: a proper separate freezer, and enough inverter & battery power to run it without draining the batteries. For $600, I could replace mine 5 times, if need be, but after a year, it's still running fine.

Garbage inspection, coming to your neighborhood?

Anyone who plants a garden knows the benefits of composting food waste. We have been doing it for years - the free nonchemical fertilizer is great, and so are the veggies!

    Republicans: Modern-Day Whigs?

Status quo, in a nutshell, lol. :D

Sarah Palin - Pinhead or Patriot?

I find it ironic & hilarious that Palin is all PC when people use the word retarded correctly, as in: slow. Mental retardation is a term used by doctors, but Palin thinks it's insulting? I think she'll say anything to get/keep her name in the "news", because it allows her to collect hefty...

Fox no longer a news organization

Dave: I don't care who they get money from, what matters is the legislation they propose & support. One of the Republicans' first items on their agenda is rolling back the reforms enacted after the banks and Wall Street almost crashed the whole country. The Democrats take money from Wall St, but...

    **WARNING to new contractors*****

True dat, but the "new guy" you're referring to isn't. The username is new, the job title is new, but the person behind it has been on EO [off & on] for years, so not a newbie at all.

Fox no longer a news organization

From the linked article: Readers with strong stomachs should read the whole thing to comprehend the visceral disdain Dickerson has for Americans who have the nerve to point out that the nation can't possibly continue as it is if it continues to run trillion-dollar annual deficits and pile up...

I'm really looking forward to this one!

Liberals don't think there is unlimited money, they simply don't approve of "balancing the budget" on the backs of those who can least afford it, while at the same time giving breaks and subsidies and sweet deals to those who already have more money than they know what to do with. They really...

Taylor is the only location for crossdocking, and I'm always pleased at the efficiency too. :D

I'm really looking forward to this one!

Funny, that's exactly the article I thought of when I read your original assertion. The thing is, you said "liberals would like to see conservatives calling out the Pope", as in publicly disrespecting him, which isn't going to happen, and liberals wouldn't like it if it did. Do you like seeing...

Very few passive aggressive tactics are funny, but that one [if that's what it was] certainly qualifies.

I'm really looking forward to this one!

Maybe in whatever fantasy world you inhabit the "liberals would like nothing more than to see conservatives calling out the Pope publicly", but in the real world? No one want to see anyone disrespect the Pope, for any reason - the man is very much admired. Maybe the conservatives and/or...

    I'm Speechless. I Got Nothing.

Aristotle: surely you know the decision on whether charges are brought or not is influenced by many factors, including pragmatic & political, along with actual hard evidence, trustworthiness of witnesses/alibis, extenuating or aggravating circumstances, and justice isn't always one of them...
