Yes and No. You can be a fleet owner if you select your drivers well. If you not put a driver behind the wheel just to fill the seat. If you have an office from where you manage your business. You can't have a fleet and you drive in same time. If you have a good contract. And many other things...

So after I read this tread: Negative things about this company -very poor FS - high rate on driver insurance, $35 per week versus for example $18 Panther -$20 penalty if you not fax your paperwork in 24 H(I think is singular in industry) -not enough pay for hand loading -long deadhead...

I have cargo vans and box vans to . No more loads for the box vans. They burn much more gas ,they slower, and the maintenance cost me more. .. I will never buy any box van in my life.

No offense but why do you not go and work for that companies? In my opinion is no expedite companies who can give you average 2-3000 miles per week. And trust me ,I worked with some ... Now average 1500-2000 miles per week, maybe.

I would go a transmission shop and see what they saying. That is the best thing that you can do at this time.

Unfortunately Panther pays just 70 cents plus fuel on the new contracts.Plus 3 cents if the driver has hazmat and plus 3 for team. Good thing that the old rates remain untouched...

I hope the two guys from ASE see this numbers and will and saying that their rate an FS is a ''great'' rate and FS....

So for example if the pick up is 70 miles away how much they pay just for that part. Panther or Tristates pay some fs after the first 100...
