    April locations and more

He's pre-dispatched for April. I was just thinking about Moose's April 1st retirement announcement last year. I was so happy for him I didn't even realize it was April Fool's Day. Tomorrow will probably bring more flat rate announcements. :)

    Flat rate???

Before they develop something so advanced, maybe they should develop one that can pass TVal testing the first time.. I think they are working on one now that sometimes passes on the second try. If I were a Mod I'd tell myself to get back on topic. If any TK has passed on the first try, maybe...

I worked on a contract where we got paid $45 or $50 per hour. Chicago to Milw paid 10 hours. Chgo to Memphis maybe 20 hrs. All out and back TT Chemicals. One week we came in and w/o notice the time per run was cut 10% but the hourly rate stayed the same. The carrier insisted it wasn't a pay...

I'll be laughed at for saying this, but I believe increased productivity , miles per truck per week, has a lot to do with this. Too many people running premium runs only and not helping with the less desirable runs. I can't question that business model. I can see how it's frustrating to a...

    Flat rate???

Jimby, a little off topic, but are you running one of those less than desirable Carrier units ? If so, how'd you stay so productive ?

    Flat rate???

I wonder if you call the Hotline, Surface units get surface operators, and WG units get WG people. This could result in different answers. I can't call. I can edit/delete on here. I can't on tape. :)

    Flat rate???

My wife got the smelling salts out.. If Linda was here I think we'd be arguing.. We've had friendly arguments before.... She's much closer to the action/ people but in my gut I believe she is wrong on this. Like I said, I don't want to share your pain. :)

    Flat rate???

Linda, in your understanding can TVal/ Temp drivers negotiate ? Opps, after my initial shock, I reread her post. NO NEGOTIATION FOR ANYBODY is pretty clear.

If John did go Flat Rate you all need to show your loyalty and respect by sticking it out and helping him through the tough patch.,

    Flat rate???

I hope what they are telling you is " FOR SURFACE TRUCKS no negotiating on surface OR WG loads. I believe it's been stated that the WG fleet can still negotiate.

Just Kidding. Joking around. Just because John's a good guy doesn't mean he can't succumb to market pressures and trends. After all, he's a businessman.

    Flat rate???

What's the sense of staying on the percentage contract IF the loads pay flat rate ? I thought they would pay as they do now through the end of your % contract., They just don't want any counteroffers.
