Went into Penske this morning to pick up a loaner, and they said go ahead and use your truck. It was 93 today and the transmission gave up and got stuck in 4th gear(it's an auto) Ever try to get a truck moving in 4th? So I called and they said to try to limp it back, halfway there the engine...

One other thing that brand new $32,000 van will be worth alot less in one year then your loan would be worth, much better to buy a one or two year old van then to take a huge depreciation hit. Yes you can use that depreciation as a tax deduction, but wouldn't you rather keep the money for...

That was the first and only time I have ever been to vegas, and the AC quit working in the truck in July :eek:

New York, New York is fun stopped there to eat on the way through Vegas, I did put about a dollars worth of quarters in a slot and actually left vegas with 3 bucks!!!:D

A van payment is almost a sure recipe for failure if you don't have a hefty saving account to back it up, the van plus high insurance will kill your profit. Much better to have a paid for van and put aside the money for repairs down the road. Even new vans breakdown and require regular...

Are these truckstops corporate owned or privately owned? If they are dirty and corporate owned I'd take pictures and forward them to corporate, I've been to some very clean truckstops and some filthy ones. Never had the need to use the showers, so I have never seen them. Hmmm, just realized...
