    The new Ron Paul game

My point about Native Americans being the land comprising much of what is now the United States was taken from the Native Americans by conquest for the most part. There were exceptions of colonials buying land from the indigenous people, but mostly Europeans took this land by conquest. Until...

    The new Ron Paul game

T-Hawk... do I understand you to be saying the United States government is extremist? I will credit every US President with doing his best to keep America safe. Even Obama has done an effective job in this regard, so far.

    The new Ron Paul game

We must be vigilant at all times. What if the 19 hijackers of Sept 11th had been packing a briefcase nuke? Muslim extremists mean to destroy our nation. They have said as much and most Americans understand this threat. A passive approach toward our national security is dangerous. The...

Meet "Bad" Frank.... Hatfield/McCoy drama comes to the History Channel

Pike County is in extreme eastern Kentucky and shares a border with Virginia and West Virginia. It's pretty remote and still witnesses way too much violence. Almost all violence in Appalachia occurs between two parties well known to each other.

Every society has a social code which determines acceptable and unacceptable behavior. The generally accepted social code is usually reflected in a nation's law. The United States is no different in this regard. We live in a nation of 300 million people. Moreover, this nation was founded by...

Estab GOP Sees Writing On Wall - Decides To Go "3rd Party"

The term "personal liberty" does have appeal. What is worrisome to some of us is how libertarians want to push the ideal of personal liberty right up against anarchy. The Paul brand of libertarianism frightens traditional conservative voters. On an economic platform, there isn't much...

Estab GOP Sees Writing On Wall - Decides To Go "3rd Party"

If libertarian principles had appeal, Ron Paul would be the nominee. He tried his best and finished last. The libertarians have their own party. Why are they so intent on damaging the GOP? Spite?

Estab GOP Sees Writing On Wall - Decides To Go "3rd Party"

The Paul supporters can be a troublesome bunch. Difficult and unreliable. Romney doesn't really need them and would do well to keep them at arm's length. If Romney lets the Paul camp into his inner circle, he will find himself surrounded by more backstabbers than Julius Caesar. Romney is...

Meet "Bad" Frank.... Hatfield/McCoy drama comes to the History Channel

Growing up in this area in the 1960's and 70's, there was still a tremendous amount of gun violence. Being geographically isolated, law enforcement was lax and usually late to arrive. It's a different mindset. The subculture of Central Appalachia continues to perplex sociologists. As I...

Finally, Ron Paul says he is done

Ron Paul leads a political movement? There is evidence of a Paul campaign, but where's the movement? We know Ron Paul supporters like to credit Dr. Paul with every good idea of the last quarter-century. Then, his supporters allege election violations or claim something was stolen from...

Finally, Ron Paul says he is done

Let's disabuse anyone from thinking Ron Paul is the leader of a political movement. Ron Paul is no more a leader than is Sarah Palin or Newt Gingrich or Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann or Rick Santorum. Furthermore, this silly notion that the Tea Party has supported Ron Paul is not correct...

North Carolina voters reject same-sex marriage.

Nature is self-correcting. Any person exclusively practicing homosexuality will not be reproducing or passing along their genes. What's left to them? Recruitment? The gay agenda gets free and favorable publicity all day long on television.

North Carolina voters reject same-sex marriage.

Why would anyone think others do not understand this issue? I am not aware of any major religion which teaches tolerance of wrong or unnatural behavior. Homosexuality is unnatural. It is an evolutionary dead end.
