OMG I shoulda slept in the van!

I know that tourist draws cause the prices to triple, but I'd never considered the problem of needing a room in the wrong place at the wrong time, like Augusta during the Masters. Somehow, I don't think that stressing your non-tourist [event] related need would cut any ice with a business that...

Don't Mess With Texas: Part Deux

Some still think CNN doesn't have an agenda. Laughable. That's what you said about CNN, but now you use them to support your point? Either they're trustworthy, or they're not, you can't claim one thing one day and the opposite the next.

Baltimore Rioting, Looting OK According to Mayor

Proof of another article cited that you either didn't read, or misunderstood. Unless you think the teachers, parents, and students on the spot are all lying?

Baltimore Rioting, Looting OK According to Mayor

I'd say you're missing something: none of us drivers enjoy the level of personal protective gear [military grade] that LEOs currently deploy. To suggest those officers should shoot people [especially the non adults] for throwing bricks is overkill, quite literally. Did you read the article I...

Don't Mess With Texas: Part Deux

Abbot is pretty special, alright: http://blog.chron.com/texaspolitics/2014/07/abbott-equates-supporting-release-of-chemical-data-with-aiding-terrorists/

Don't Mess With Texas: Part Deux

Of the fact that someone can call a news outlet a "Hate Network", with examples of how biased and unreliable their reporting is, then cite an article from that same news outlet to rebut a point the opposition didn't even suggest, lol.

Baltimore Rioting, Looting OK According to Mayor

Exactly what does "that" refer to? I did a quick look at the articles cited, and I have to say that Breitbart complaining about the "left wing media whipping up hatred" is just too funny for words. "All that matters is that the oppressive, controlling Welfare State [sic] that breeds...

    Evil Swiss Army Knives

I flew from Detroit Metro yesterday, and had to pitch an unopened bottle of Coke [you can carry it onboard if you bought it from the places inside the secure area, but I didn't know that.] The worst thing about the TSA rules is how they keep changing them, sigh. I wonder if really poor people...

Is it slow all over ???

Umm, that's what turtles, DO, lol. Actually, you're probably more at risk, according to this photo from a golf course in Florida, lol

Lawmakers want FDA to crack down on soap makers

The soap in the photo [linked] looks exactly like what I recently got from eBeeHoney. The ingredients are listed on each bar, [Lavender Oatmeal]: saponified vegetable oils [olive, rice bran, coconut, organic palm & shea butter], goat milk, natural essential oil, [Moot says this is good oil...

Baltimore Rioting, Looting OK According to Mayor

I don't get news/info from TV, and the more I hear & read about it, the less I understand how anyone who does can consider themselves informed. Whether it's Fox or MSNBC. I do know that "news" programming is much more cost effective for the purveyors, [which explains why there's so much of it]...

    May 2015

Take him up on the music, he has some great stuff you probably haven't heard before. [And I keep getting that classic "Don't Do Your Deep Frying In The Nude" stuck in my head, lol] :)

New Load One Gold Rewards Program!

I got a whole season of Rumpole At The Bailey! [It's a BBC series, hard to find unless ordering online]. And a TV/DVD player so I can watch it, too, lol. Great stuff! What I'd like to see is driver oriented tech stuff, like dashcams, back up cams, - tools we can use to do a better job, maybe...

    Best Fast Food Salad

Maybe it's just me, but veggies at Subway don't taste like they are real. It boggles my mind how a place with such an unappealing name [who would enjoy eating in a subway?!] and mostly lunchmeat & tasteless veggies can have a location on every freaking corner [plus the ones in WalMarts...

    Best Fast Food Salad

My favorite was Wendy's BLT Cobb - I don't know why it's the only one they took off the menu, but I get the BBQ chicken now, and it's not as good, IMO. I should say: it's good, but I don't like it as much. Salads are good to make yourself, and if you make a couple at once, [put in plastic...

Is it slow all over ???

There may be some who "don't know any better", but I can't believe it's a lot. Their thinking is that they have docks for loading/unloading, why take risks using a forklift without the dock? The risk of damaging the freight or the people is much higher outside the dock, as Turtle can attest...

Baltimore Rioting, Looting OK According to Mayor

Speaking of throwing bricks, I found this story very interesting. Particularly the mention of "Police announced shortly before noon that they had a credible threat" [about gangs intending to hurt people]. They don't say which gangs, but there's a photo out there showing a Crip with his arm...

    The Worst Road Contest...

Don't believe I've ever seen a worse stretch than Pennsylvania, [Metro Detroit], east of 275. Or Eureka, which bounced my microwave off the floor [at half the speed limit]! It's been resurfaced, wonder how long it'll stay nice - I don't think Michigan uses good quality materials on road...

    Wondering

I can't remember gas prices [never had to pay for it, lol], but I remember green stamps, snow on the B&W TV [in spite of the rabbit ears], banks that gave you stuff like small appliances for opening an account [with $5.00, lol], and having just one phone, with a curly cord that was 75 ft long...
