"Cutting out the middle man" is WAY unpopular on EO. But, as you know, working directly with several/many sources (brokers, shippers & other small carriers) is a lot more communicating work but CAN pay off. But it requires some good organizational skills.

Oh, it's not slowing traffic too much. It's the scary kind where the crew if 3-4 just walks out in the road and slings shovel fulls into the holes. I cringe ANY time I see anything in the road. Maybe hitting a deer has messed me up.

Glad the forklift driver (hi-lo for you MI peeps) drove away. Had to ratchet my door. Still lacked a few inches. But at least the doors pointed AT each other. Short load helped immensely.
