Newbies...see brokcanadian disclaimer in Truck Talk

Inspired by a few ridiculous posts on equipment...to new operators... Research all you can and take things you hear with a grain of salt. Learn all you can about the vehicle you own/insurance and legal requirements before you buy, and get in the habit of performing an inspection before each...

    brokcanadian disclaimer

To anybody new viewing threads, like tires, brakes, front-end, etc. If you are new to the business, you may get the wrong idea from some of the things I've posted. If you are not a mechanic, in the interest of safety, go with 2 or 3 opinions at different shops to help make a determination. My...

Will such set up attract attention of DOT?

Buy a cheap straight truck and park it when it gets cold (or head south) I can't imagine you earning anywhere close to good rates no matter how much stuff you cram in there BTW whatever you have for insurance is null and void. Read your policy on commercial, you're not covered - people on here...

Buying sprinter vs 10-14k GVWR box truck?

I used to enjoy passing the DRW vans pulled over in Ohio...driver getting an expensive education It's common sense, if it was legal everybody would have one, no point to our vans except under 10k

    Van barely turning on

Sounds better than mine...once your deep cycles are in, there's many ways to hook em up but I always include the ability to have them all connected for cranking (never had a winter no start, -44 even) The delay in firing is probably it calling the EPA for permission to idle:D

    Welcome September

Had a 500 dollar run 4 hours ago, but I had to say no because wife was out pokemoning. I see a 3 week trip in my future. As it is I have to bring rice cooker and canned chili till the next pay. It was 1000 miles, so I can congratulate myself on not running for a cheap customer, too bad I can't...

Traacker, rolling the interior with foil bubble wrap gives a noticeable difference and is QUICK...getting out on the road making money should be priority, comfort can come later... Cargo Van 1 pa-pallet, 2 pa-pallet 3pa-pallet four...?

If I insulate, I was going to finish the walls in that thin stuff they use in gas station bathrooms and walk in fridges, comes shiny and they have thin strips to cover the seams...its either textured or smooth and very tough, like tile board without the tiles, what's it called? Edit: think I...

    Cargo Van 1 pa-pallet, 2 pa-pallet 3pa-pallet four...?

If I get smashed, I'm not paying the local rate of 10,000 for an 05 I'd try for a 4 cyl...i have a thread on mine somewhere, paid 2900 US for mine with 180000 miles on it (in truck talk)... I'll now defer to the people that actually own newer Sprinters to answer questions
