    Electric truck?

You should tip them off. I know a guy left his truck plugged in for months. He was oos. Into the summer. Caused injector cup/o-ring problems.

Has anyone expierienced a slow down in April

I was being sarcastic. John (Load -1) doesn't hire vans he can't load. It's supply and ( lack of) demand. From your statement I don't know if they are not taking vans because they have all they need for the current work load, or they aren't taking vans because they'll only take $printer size...

IRT, I'm sorry. No matter how much Abbott & Costello we study, we'll still never understand management. :)

    MAY LOCATIONS Mayday Mayday Mayday

You spend so much time at Lowes that maybe you should apply. My daughter, a manager at Home Depot, explained to me that they have store personnel that earn over $100,000 per year. I believe that program has been redone in the company's favor. They've allowed old timers to Grandfather in.

Los Angeles at a standstill for Sprinters and Cargo vans

Wait. You get to Ca on the first, and don't get a load out until the 8th or 9th ? Well dummy, it's YOUR fault. You got there a week too early ! Take a few more days on the outbound trip.

    Cr-unit question

Sometimes the driver doesn't help. I loaded some slots. The guy next to me never got out of the truck until fully loaded. When he pulled out to close his barn doors, he decided the whole load needed to be placed a few feet towards the rear. This is info the loaders needed before loading...

Los Angeles at a standstill for Sprinters and Cargo vans

That's about the response I would have expected. The initial idea, ingested moments after awakening from a deep sleep, shocked me.

Los Angeles at a standstill for Sprinters and Cargo vans

A buck in, a buck out. Keep moving. Sounds flat rate to me. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Once you start adjusting to market conditions, people will expect it. Hope John maintains his principals.

You seem like the perfect candidate for flat rate. Maybe you're with the wrong carrier.

Conway drivers, how about a big smile for the camera?

I could see them disconnecting it back in 03 for the linehaul guys. If you ever get a chance, look in a Roadway truck. If they haven't change, there may not be a fuel gauge or a voltmeter. Or a tach. When I worked there they only had guages that were required by law. The speedo had an overlay...

    Cr-unit question

I just did an 8 pallet load. 4 drums per pallet. 32 Drums. I left with 5 pallets of 4, and 4 pallets of 3. The guy was pretty nice about it. I would leave it on the dock before I'd wedge it in my reefer. If I get the load again, I'll ask dispatch to call and ask them to pallet it properly...

Conway drivers, how about a big smile for the camera?

Big Al said they removed it in 03. Could have. What they've done since then does not change what they did in 03.
