    Real objective

The guy that DRIVES his crown vic all over the lot, stopping at each truck asking for gas money, made me laugh the most. He was wearing more gold than a man asking for money should. I told him if he wasn't DRIVING around the lot that A. He wouldn't need as much gas and B. He might stand a better...

    Real objective

That is a big step, offering employment. Try offering to buy them the food they say they the money is for, and many will refuse.

    Real objective

I will try to help someone with a REAL need, but when it' s obviously a fabricated story, I send them on their way. I know what you mean about being stuck, sometimes it seems like I'm the only one on the lot that carries jumper cables, and willing to give a fellow driver 20 minutes to get their...

Without a doubt, that IS the objective, it is rarely attained. And the new ' hospital' story just makes me upset. IF it is true, then what they are saying is " I just got free healthcare, you'll get the bill for that later, but right now, can give me some cash?"

    In season

If you get a chance to visit a farmer' s market, don't pass up the fresh strawberries. IMO, they are much better than the ones at the grocery store. They make great, healthy snack.

Road Check 2014. Are you ready?

For those travelling west on I-20 in Mississippi, the westbound weigh station @ the Louisiana border is sort of starting early. They are stopping a parking lot full of trucks at a time to check IFTA and cab cards Safe travels.

The real reason for the 30 minute rest break

Perhaps it is just a lack of janitorial services. The wait seems to be about the same in the evening. Could be that truck stops are putting MORE demands on FEWER personnel. In some cases, it is the personnel not fulfilling their duties in a timely fashion.

Here we go again...others will likely follow suit

Absolutely, they will play by the rules set forth. I know IF Obamacare decreed that there should be a 100-300% raise in transportation rates, I would play by the rules set forth.:)

    Dust Dust Dust

It' s funny that I was reading this thread, when I heard on the radio that the earth gets 100 tons heavier per day due to space dust. Just like WF and mjm said. I hope you bought A LOT of those wipes! :)
