    Hazmat Question?

Keith and I have been diligently studying for our hazmat test. We plan to add the hazmat endorsement and passports to our CDL's as soon as we can get home to do so. I am starting to think I might actually be able to pass the test. (Have been a little nervous about it as several people have told...

I agree with you Moose. I am going to be adding Hazmat to my CDL once we are able to get home (well that is if I am smart enough to pass the test, the study guide appears pretty daunting to me). Haven't seen home since Xmas so haven't been able to take the test and get the clearances. Reason we...

Hey Inkasnana, we got a load to Dallas last night so now we are sitting here in Dallas at the FJ. I know there was a couple of Express 1 trucks there in Laredo when we left last night and Eric and Cindy are on their way down there also. They got a load going down to Laredo yesterday morning so...

    Again....Mississippi

Got stopped by a DOT officer on the Oklahoma turnpike the other day for an inspection. Officer Housely wanted to do a level 1 but since I already had my 09 sticker said he would go ahead and do a level 3. Officer Housely has to be one of the friendliest officers I have ever had the pleasure to...

    Dead Head miles a Deduction?

Fkatz, if you read the original post from what I can understand he is saying he is a driver that does not own the vehicle that he is driving. It is my understanding you can only claim milage if the vehicle belongs to you, not to someone else. Would not the actual owner be the one that gets to...

    Dead Head miles a Deduction?

If you are a driver that drives for an owner operater (you do not own your truck or van) you do not get to claim milage. You can only claim milage if you own the vehicle.

    Time for the deals!

Sounds nice but not many of us have that kind of cash laying around to buy it with. Can't see a bank wanting to finance right now with the economy and the banking industry the way it is. :(

Been sitting here at the Flying J in Laredo since last Thursday. Got to where I don't want to do Texas anymore. Everytime we have a bad week it is because we were dispatched to Texas. This time Laredo, last time Dallas, time before was El Paso, time before that was Laredo. Seriously thinking...

LCB I'm sorry I have to totally disagree with you here. I personally feel my Miss Minnie and Mr Gizzies lives are every much as worthy as yours or mine. They might not be 'human' but they are just as worthy! :o Now for Farrah, I think she was a wonderful actress! :p

A Plug For the HONEST OWNER

Loner1 you are sooooo right! We have driven for 3 owners now. Only 1 of the 3 were bad. The other two Expediter Services and Judd Transportion are honest, caring companies that take care of their drivers. I would highly recommend either to anyone looking for a fleet to drive for! It is such a...

NO NO NO NO! Expediter Services is a good company! You can't get a better group of people. The BAD company is Expedite Solutions. Please don't confuse the two. I think this entire thread needs to go bye-bye! Tis a mute point now! :o
