    CEVA richmond va

Never knew running local was hard. For me that's what I'm looking for once I get back out to Ca. where I moved back too last month. Thing of just doing freight that either is 100% local nights in my own bed or a mix of local and regional, where I'm home at least every other night. I'm done with...

    listening to drivers complain......

Something Apax72 should learn about business and its simple If you go out of business tomorrow the only people it affects is your family not mine or anyone's else's in the world. Just simple logic. Like others have said take care of your business and let the rest of us take care of ours. Most...

    listening to drivers complain......

No where have I seen a gun put to anyone's head to work in the industry and if a person doesn't like the rates he or she's paid they should find either a carrier that will pay more or leave the industry. Like others have said in their own ways we are our own worst enemy when it comes to trucking.

The Future of Expediting; Yes or No?

If under 10001 GVWR you don't need any authority How do you know they don't have insurance, I do believe they have some type of insurance just to register the vehicle. See my first sentence and if under 10001 they cannot be running illegal. There not required to have a sleeper or any sleeping...

Can You Quantify EOBR $$$ Benefits?

But Turtle, that same 20 truck carrier can at anytime start to install them on a 6 truck per year and not have a large dollar hit. It comes down to understanding how to integrating the EOBR over time, just as large carries do now. Just as large carriers don't replace all the trucks at the same...

Can You Quantify EOBR $$$ Benefits?

You make a statement in your reply, that small carriers would be forced out of business if they had to install a EOBR or Elog. Maybe you can explain how this would come about. If everyone is under the same rule, just as of right now nothing changes between paper and electronic logs, except that...

Can You Quantify EOBR $$$ Benefits?

Moose, the Maryland Highway patrol was doing their job when they found the violations, I do believe the drivers were at fault for going over hours and not stopping sooner. Depending on where they were they could have stopped at the scale houses on 95 if they had the time to get there, Maryland...

Can You Quantify EOBR $$$ Benefits?

Maybe you can explain how logging electronically is any different then logging with paper logs. I see no difference except that E logs do it by the minute. How would it tell you when to go to the bathroom or when to eat, it wouldn't. Therefore, please come up with a better example.

At home again, since LS is slow right now, I just checked and out of 100 vans we only have 11 with loads. Not good. Been this way for the last month with a max of 30% of them loaded on some days with about 20% loaded on average. Anyone else this slow on the B and SuperB

If you have a COSTCO membership they have a 24 hour fitness 2 year membership for 350 bucks the only ones you cannot go to are the super sports and Ultra sport. Most I've seen you can get a straight truck into. This is a good buy since most gyms charge 39 and up per month for memberships.

New Hair drug tests for workers.

They have been using the hair drug test in other industries for years, it just took trucking longer to get to this type of drug test. Yep it stays longer and just think of drivers that are in the industry that do drugs and are called in for a random, there won't be any masking of drug use...
