    2014 Dodge ProMaster 3500 3.0 I-4 Diesel vs 2015 Ford Transit 350 I-5 3.2 Diesel

I didn't know it either. Nowhere did I say it was long and tall. :)

The van is at an undisclosed location in GA, off of I 20 west of Atlanta. Are you somewhere nearby? I can see a cat scale from where I am sitting. I can bet whatever you want, and you will loose. I had it weighed 3 times, one when it was new and I signed it on with panther, then again when I...

South Carolina...just like our old Kentucky home. Not exactly.

The locals there said that alligators are fresh water creatures, but sometimes you see one in the salt water. The theory is that they get some kind of parasites on them and they go in the salt water to get rid of them.

    2014 Dodge ProMaster 3500 3.0 I-4 Diesel vs 2015 Ford Transit 350 I-5 3.2 Diesel

You need to weigh it like I said, with all your stuff in it and a full tank. If I remember correctly my Sprinter with me and my crap in it and a full tank of fuel was around 5350 lbs.

Yes, my 2004 Sprinter is a four wheeler with 8550 GVWR.

West, I couldn't care less what you do with your trucks. But when you say things that are not true I will try to educate you. You might want to ask the safety guy at Load1 about this issue. I don't know what every Sprinter owner does, but in mine I can LEGALLY carry 3200 lbs, but I don't put...

    2014 Dodge ProMaster 3500 3.0 I-4 Diesel vs 2015 Ford Transit 350 I-5 3.2 Diesel

West, I'm not the one that is wrong here. When the manufacturer says that the vehicle's GVWR is x, they mean that x is the maximum safe limit for this particular vehicle. If you put weight in there that takes the total weight past the GVWR, you are overweight and not safe. And BTW, please...

    2014 Dodge ProMaster 3500 3.0 I-4 Diesel vs 2015 Ford Transit 350 I-5 3.2 Diesel

If your van is over 9350, you are overweight and you will get a fat ticket. The best way to figure it out is to put all your stuff in the van, full tank of fuel, you in it, and weigh it. Take that number and subtract it from 9350. What you get is the maximum weight you can carry.

I spent a week with some relatives on Kiawah Island, SC this year. I saw a few alligators, dolphins, sharks, etc. Those alligators are some magnificent creatures, but I wouldn't venture too close to one.

    2014 Dodge ProMaster 3500 3.0 I-4 Diesel vs 2015 Ford Transit 350 I-5 3.2 Diesel

You'd think that with the amount of computers this van has in it, it would have the computing power to calculate the speed with more accuracy. Let's see if I remember all of them. Engine, transmission, instrument cluster, abs, climate control, SKREEM, even the shifter has its own computer. I am...

    2014 Dodge ProMaster 3500 3.0 I-4 Diesel vs 2015 Ford Transit 350 I-5 3.2 Diesel

I've seen huge differences between actual and computer calculated mpg in other vehicles. My sprinter doesn't have this option. Sent from my SM-G900P using EO Forums mobile app

new to ExpOnline, weighing options, keeping myself informed/educated

Your brother is making 60k a year after expenses? Where is this company? I want to sign up. Lol I suspect he is not telling you the whole truth. There are not that many van expediters that net 60k a year, especially with a small company that just started in the van business. But, good luck...

We should have a bonfire at the expo. That would make me deadhead there from Houston.

I would spend the $4130 now and save $355 a month on fuel for the rest of the vehicle's life. Provided the number I have seen are correct.

If I were you, and needed a vehicle right away, I would go with the Ford over the Ram for more reasons than the ugly looks. But if you can, wait a year or 2 and you will be able to make a better decision. I know having the newest vehicle out there is cool, but resist the urge if at all possible.

Nice 81 degrees and cloudy here in Houston this morning. Perfect for an oil change. Got the used oil container ready, shouldn't be but 15 min, 20 max.
