Just stop by a tire place and pick up a set. About $50. Better than the alternative. Also weather up in the mountains changes fast and chain up appear out of nowhere. In other words you might just need them.

Your best bet would be to drive for an owner in the type of vehicle you are interested in. Then you can see if this type of work is for you. Hope this helps.

About .50/mile. That should've been the first thing investigated before buying a sprinter van.

I hope you got chains. Oregon state law requires chains for all vehicles be available 12 months a year. Hefty fine if you don't.
