    I think for some of these non union companies...just having the big bad wolf always in the shadows waiting to pounce...it keeps them above board...like a deterrent...to treat the employees fairly...

    It is almost the same way here...only the toll roads have service centers..and only the state has access.....and the interstates have just rest areas.. and they are called "service centers" Not truck stops... and anyone with any knowledge of Ontario...NEVER buy your fuel at a service center...

    How about a fine fella we all know that has over 200 company trucks not counting his expedite division... and that was ABOUT 20 bucks per unit. Airtime =ed connection charge.... I think carriers should also start charging a maintenance fee as well....the abuse at the hands of drivers...keyboards...

    I was told QC charges about $20 a week for each unit to be connected to the system....so they don't make as much some people seem to think they do....

    With cell phone laws changing in every state....I thought staying ahead of the curve would be good...Ole Barney Fife might have a different view and whack us with a ticket anyhow... vans are NOT CMV's and not covered under FMSCA...so in essence we are breaking the law...
