Absolutely..TS must be a management person....the program automatically tracks everyones income and is available with one click of the mouse...on a normal business day a good dispatcher has that split second to look... Dog..I gotta ask...just HOW many miles are you expecting/needing?

Detention Time; What do You Get?

I was commenting to Greg... I have never ever heard 2 hrs was standard till I started here in the US...most were 1 hour and it was ALL D time... 30 minutes to get loaded and 1 hour to get unloaded would yield 30 minutes D-time...Total D-Time against pro number. this 2 hours at the front end...

Just one case comes to mind... Did everything to the letter...broker said paperwork "appeared" in order....ok I leave... OPPS....wait...during processing what I had on was not that companies manufactured goods....but rather a maintenance item on transfer....guess what? Wrong...

Detention Time; What do You Get?

Contracts mean crap..... when was the last time a driver took legal issue with a carrier over D Time? When was the last time a driver was terminated immediately and the driver fought back?

    The Plastic Chair

That is fine..BUT the load was NOT cleared yet...many things can happen on the way to the border...You've been lucky... 3 things a driver knows for sure to check... 1. Country of origin 2. Value stated on form 3. Currency ..it should say US or Can. without that never leave the dock...

Phil..I always got paid Detention time...after a 2 hour exemption....I can't for the life of me think why the Feds don't charge the customer or take it out of their pocket as per contract rate.

    Express 1 and cargo vans

I can concur...teams will get loaded before you...they are heavy on teams...when things slow down team runs start around 500 miles instead of 750-800 miles...I've been team and know we got some runs that weren't deserved...just ask Steady Eddie...he knows that first hand...then when solo...

I've spent many a day chasing down a broker, asking questions, Like what exactly is it you need to clear this load and what needs to be done....? Many a time I found a solution before dispatch even made the first call....Those brokers know each other and most of the accounts and who does...
