    That is correct... The van must have outside door locks and a sealed bulkhead... The driver cannot have access to the load... I've been burned but going into Canada... Had to spend the weekend in a compound at customs with the freight till the broker came in on Monday

    When you think of the process it is legally impossible to pick up in Bond freight in Canada to bring into the US if it was in Bond in Canada that would mean it was not cleared coming from a third country... It can get complicated LOL

    There is a big difference between in bond freight and temporary in bond freight.... If you get to a border crossing and you have a problem with the clearance you can request to take the load in Bond and you take it to a government warehouse to be cleared at a later time..

    Are you sure it wasn't a TIB? Temporary in Bond and item goes into a country and stays there for a while and comes back to the original country and no tariffs Are charged

    Someone pick that load up and took it into Canada in Bond a bond was issued it is like a certificate... And the paperwork should have stayed with the freight until the bond was cancelled by the US for reentry
