Load 1 for now...yes happy...but businesses change and company policies change that might not suit ones liking, so change is always a possibility....IF you plan to be long term in this biz....never quit looking for your next carrier, plan B is always recommended...stay current with the happening...

then again...we are talking about the guy in his 1st or 2nd week with us went to New Orleans and actually got a load out....so anything is possible...

As an esteemed company owner once said....it all about VOLUME....and WE vans are a COMMODITY....acquire as many loads in a week as possible....500 vans = 500 loads HE makes money....be darned if the van owner does...we are even silly enough thru assorted fees that some actually pay clowns like...

Most all on your list have too many vans, sir.... that is one reason you'll find many sub species/ mom and pop carriers out there...all wanting to re-invent the wheel and like Burger King...have their way....

I used to pick up at the Toronto Star printing plant....mostly robotics....that newspaper is not touched till the carrier lifts the bundles....stacked, counted out, strapped and palletized even a layer of cardboard between the layers and then stretch wrapped and robot takes it to the programmed...

and the problem with that is?.....who is going to make these drones....who is going to program them and or repair them?.....guess truck driving won't be the #1 job much longer...have your grandkids stay in school and get the appropriate education to deal with the future...

I think you are a few hundred years ahead of yourself on some of your ideas....I can see self driving trucks on the interstates like where Ohio has those assembly areas in the interchanges to put triples together....

it is a company truck....as I said above....the driver is usually home for the 34 out of the distribution center.... at least a Walmart driver always has a sleeping spot....

I see a smaller bunk area shaded in behind cab....them company drivers don't "usually" do long haul and work out of the same distribution center for the most part.....so a big bunk would not be high on the "I need" list....probably use them on the company trucks...
