    I know you Terry have your MPG's under control and the .12 cents pretty well pays a 100% of the fuel costs on a trip. We get .15 but NOT on ALL miles just paid miles and NOT paid DH.

    I know the pitance that we get barely brings the costs down to 3 bucks at to-days rate. I thinks carriers might have to raise the base price they use to calculate the FSC.

    Personally...only my opinion....forget it...go flip burgers for now. Freight rates are low...over supply of trucks already, U.S. economy in the tank and getting worse, rising fuel costs. rising insurance costs...on and on and on.... The only ones you'll get positive advice from are from fleet...

    Had an "Alliance" load picked in Marshall Mi going to Canada..i'd say about 110 miles to the border from there approx. They called 1 1/2 hours later asked if I made the border...told them I was just at the city limits..."they said...the speed limit is 70 in Mi whats keeping you??? I can't type...

    A month or so ago E-1 split the load planners(dispatchers) inot separate divisions, van/sprinter- C's &D's- tractors. My assumption and thats all it is that they had a team meeting and someone mentioned that vans do it faster and a decision was made at that level...I've been trying to get ahold...

    RE: and borders too Greg....OMG you can't see a problem? 50 is fine IF you pick near the interstate and drop close to an interstate. Like I said try Gary to Kokomo at 4pm...all secondary and lights and small towns. Its do-able but not comfortable. Secondary MIGHT average 60mph hit 2 lights stop...
