Things I have experienced over the years.... The Honda doe not like the cold....like -30 to -40.....the thinner the oil the better...that little engine just can't maintain enough heat to pump the thickened oil to the head and the auto shutoff kicks in...low oil.. When you do your oil change...

Ring in piston is leaking...i get gas in the oil and have to change it more often....just trying to baby it thru...
