solo again... with things the way they are I do better solo then as a team....aren't many team runs [according to office]...actually made about the same money but had to support 2 people...so that said she's taken care of biz at home....

I can attest there is business in the west...but they usually are longer runs requiring a team....There is more in the west then most would think....the traditional lanes are getting more blurred all the time....but you can't lose around Chicago.

I disagree...the government does have an effect on the FREE market...such as corporates taxes/tariffs/duties, restrictive labour laws and minimum wages, enviromental laws and trade agreements to market goods overseas..... If too much of the above is present it will suppress growth.

We have 2 company trucks and one sprinter....ole fart drivers, on call , part timers....they will go out to local customers and bring back the freight to cross dock with an on route expedite truck for the rest of the journey...better then losing the whole load?? Additional we have a couple...

So when you are making this team "consideration". Do you take into account the bonus money an owner gets for every mile driven? My thinking is...using E-1 as an example because I know the numbers there....an owner gets .05 cents for every mile every truck does as long as he/she has 5 trucks...

Yup...It just keeps getting better at E-1....:)

Dave...I realize there is more then just the fuel consideration....My example was built on another statement a member said about not taking a load because thier consideration the owner wouldn't make money...so does one sit and starve with the owner being the first consideration? With the...
