I never understood your own authority to run load board freight. It only makes sense to me if you have enough direct customers to carry that overhead.

I guess I missed the part where we hear why the present box needs replacing. If selling it is an option, why not sell as is or as a cab and chassis ? That may be interesting to more buyers than a flatbed. I also think a professionally built used flatbed could be bought for less than $5,000.

You can offset some of the weight and wear issues if you only put 20 gallons or whatever you may need to get back to cheaper prices. If you guess low you at least are buying less high price fuel than without the added tank.
