MT in Indy. I'll give it a couple of hours here but home is WAY too close to jack around long.

June locations and did you see that flying DR unit?

Dropped ATL to TOL. Headed down to Dayton for an early shorty to Indy. Wish me luck in Indy tomorrow morning. I've only snagged three out of there. Maybe Greenfield (hurry up and wait shopper) will be hopping in the morning.

    Should I Take The Leap?

That's not something anyone on here could answer accurately, universally. Ask 100 different drivers and you may actually get 300 different answers!!! LOL!! There are just way too many factors that affect each driver differently. EE or not, truck cost, finance rate, maintenance practices...

    Who posts these loads?

I'm guessing that sometimes they're using a lot of the 45 mins to gather quotes, but most of the time I thing they (and many or most) brokers are giving their customers ample time to get a few of their own quotes. Maybe.

    Air tabs on cargo vans?

It's pretty good. Full of "Turtle-like" details and numbers.

I guess it's also worth mentioning that its easy to "lose" an hour pumping 250 gallons of fuel, getting DEF, waiting for a shower, taking a shower & getting back up to speed. I give you that nothing happens quickly in a semi or in a truckstop for a semi driver. Touché, sort of.

    Should I Take The Leap?

I'm thinking it might have more to do with who you're signed on with, how you are paid, how they get loads, how good a reputation they have in the shipping world & what kind of "business head" you have. Although that's just the tip of the iceberg.

    Who posts these loads?

3PLs and freight forwarders bring loads. But they don't do it for free. Neither do the non-asset brokers that the 3PLs pay to post the loads and mark up the bid rates. I imagine the asset/broker blended companies are pretty tired of the disparity between the rates they WANT for their trucks and...

I now feel fortunate for fitting a shower in my schedule even those times I only have 5 hours available for downtime and have to wait 15-20 mins for a shower to become ready. I have also stopped for a shower en route. What good is showing up 7.5 hours ahead of the open time only to nap "dirty"...
