    Carrier hoppers

I think you're all right. Not MANY semi owners I ever met could spare enough cash, seemingly, to fill their own fuel tanks twice much less have 6 months of emergency funds in the bank. No semi CAN afford to stick it out at a crappy carrier, not getting enough miles/pay for very long. It's a...

    Carrier hoppers

It did in my "past life" as an ops mgr. A little hopping was fine as it's not rare for recruiters to be in a different dimension than operations and the real world. But a lot of hopping meant, to us, that NO carrier can "please" this driver or this driver probably just not worth trying to...

    Help

Read here carefully. Go to the EO classifieds. Ask and take the advice given by these professionals to heart. All these guys have "been there, done that". Trust me, I'm a rookie to driving too. Some of these guys come off as crass but no one wishes you harm. We have all been in dire straights...

    Anyone else stuck in Dallas

Heck yeah!! Don't pass Cleveland TN or Dayton TN without at least considering looking up Dave's Spiced Right. Odd name but it's AMAZING!! Pork is smoked for 20 HOURS!!! And it's the best I think I've ever had. No sauce needed. Just way good meat.

Im back ha, ha, ha, ha, haaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's pretty much what I buy every time. I've bought 3 laptops from Walmart for the road and our "company system" that we want to be able to go in vacations with us. They were all about $300-$350. First two Acers and the latest an HP. Windows 8 is a pain to get used to but it IS the future...

    Anyone else stuck in Dallas

I love hunting BBQ on the road. One day REAL soon I will regret not keeping up with the good ones. Currently in Big R's BBQ in Joplin. It's good. Not as good as Dave's Spiced Right or Carolina Ale House's in Augusta. Or my wife's, for that matter. But very good. I

    Anyone else stuck in Dallas

LOL!! Yeah, but lately I seem to get freight right back out to Chicago, Milwaukee or Western MI. So Detroit is kind of an "enabler" for my freight habit.

    Anyone else stuck in Dallas

Oh no, I'm married. And super happy to be. But I like great food, good music and good beer. I like going OOS when I arrive in a new town so I can have a beer or 3. But just in the new areas for me usually. Ok, and Detroit too. LOL!!

Getting the most out of fueling up gasoline CVs

Correct on the TA PETRO card. You can also stop in and register (and leave with) a paper "temp card". I think I got my card about a week later in the mail.
