So got the starter out (hour to figure out what tools and 20 minutes to remove) some cheap off brand thing ive never seen before, everything was fine save for the gear wheel separated from the shaft and rides free instead of turning with it. Napa 's delivering around 2 ish straight to the truck...

    Meet your replacement

Not sure if that was sarcastic or not :p There's a whole lotta union personnel that have "protected" jobs, some of them tell us where to drop our stuff...haven't seen where that's handled yet, how does a cranky shipper tell it do go to dock 34 take 2 lefts and a right ...I remember the buses of...

Got a little lost on my way to Lewiston, Maine. Fortunately this helpful guy was able to get me straightened out. He wanted me to come a little closer, but I had a schedule to meet. Going to hang out after midnight for a couple beers, and I can ask what he was doing in the sewer.

Taken from an investment website (mish) a shorter version interpreting state and federal position on autonomous vehicles "As the digital era increasingly reaches deeper into transportation, our task at the U.S. Department of Transportation is not only to keep pace, but to ensure public safety...

Its a niche thing, been around for a while. Kind of brought it up jokingly bc the last thing a cargo van needs to do is REDUCE his weight capacity...

    Meet your replacement

Love that last post, Moot. For anyone wondering where DOT stands on this http://www.nhtsa.gov/nhtsa/av/pdf/Federal_Automated_Vehicles_Policy.pdf 116 pages. Basically expect the process of millions of drivers being replaced to begin around 2020. Freight companies love it. Insurance companies...

Have rates really dropped all that much?

Ok I'll bite...what post, they're still here for me All of the new guys posts are still there...i agree with him but us drivers band together? Not likely. And nobody would take notice until we did and they were stuck with freight they agreed to deliver (but couldn't) I pick and choose what and...

Have rates really dropped all that much?

Well that makes sense, seeing how I'm on the east coast :D Money in antiques, all around. Probably more than when I carried military parts I don't really know where the industry is going, as for vans...I do know most of my runs are unique and not repeats, next is plastic beakers to Maine lol

Have rates really dropped all that much?

Dude that sounds like work. Your sprinter isn't paid for :D? I'd rather wait 2 weeks for 1 good run than deal with that many civilians Good on you to embrace the new tech, but I saw not one shipment I'd be willing to take on uShip it takes 9 to equal a proper rate...course I'm cross border so...

Have rates really dropped all that much?

Just an alert for Canadians, if you went for the 5% discount for winter tires and anything happens before April 1, if that snow symbol is not on your tire, no insurance!

Have rates really dropped all that much?

Not illegal per se, but if you do that in Ontario your car insurance is instantly null and void...same as if your friend was to pass you 5 bucks for gas and you gave them a ride...no coverage Don't brokers need licenses? Just pull it when a load is double brokered.
