    Black Smoke Matters...

Have we forgotten the fuel surcharge? Didn't that come in after a strike? The only pointless strike I saw lately was the Canadian one where they were protesting the MTO (DOT for canucks) from fining them too much. Nobody seemed to care about those poor schmucks put OOS for defects My long post...

Well, the generic responses to my extremely targeted queries tells me enough. Going back to old carrier. Exclusively for now

Local delivery apps are here. I see two in Toronto area, one advertising in my home town. $150 to $300 a day delivering to construction sites. One listed the fact that you have to go in to home depot and do the buying tho. Not sure if I'm into that...unless the quality is good enough that I...

Watched that whole thing. For some reason it made me put on the laundry and take those Christmas decorations out to the garage. I don't take cheap freight but skip the honey - do and that's what my life would look like

Cargo Van Too good to be true?

Weird. I guess my cash in hand policy has insulated me...never heard of that scam. Possibly the only useful thing the Ontario government has ever done: forced "buy and sell package" listing previous owners, mileages reported, title status, and liens. You can't transfer an ownership (title)...

Cargo Van Too good to be true?

Wow a few YouTubes later and this thread blows up. I saw it was a 3500 therefore useless. Which doesn't stop one from selling it here, and staying home for a year ;) (Former coyote transport or a few bloody bullet holes i wonder)

    Black Smoke Matters...

Scumbags have left, individually...keeping their bonuses...new office took the orphaned drivers over. But, they are a trucking company...these are nice Scumbags :p

    POLL Carrier Loads question

You need to separate large companies that pay drivers a flat fee per mile regardless of what they earn, from large companies that do a proper split. This is accomplished by chatting with a LOT of drivers I haven't seen small companies in the van world that have proper access to good freight...

    Black Smoke Matters...

Suits may freak over bonuses, but that's far from changing their business model. (Edit: my current carrier evolved out of a lawsuit. They simply closed the office down, opened under another name, and paid nothing. Dragged on 10+ years...)

Cargo Van Too good to be true?

No ad says "2014 Feightliner Sprinter" it's a chinese clone :D Something is up. There is a 0.5% chance they're too rich to care...id be looking if import wasn't such a hassle

    Black Smoke Matters...

They need to go home or stop running. Not for a day, for a month. Bring the country to its knees, and do enough damage to make a memorable impression. Being paid by the mile is ridiculous. Of course the only way to make money is to drive unsafely and speed in horrible conditions. Truckers...

If that's the case - I need a 26' 5 ton deregulated to 9920 lbs :D Edit: I might give him a call...owning thru an American corp would give me US license plates and some possible new state to state opportunity :p Don't ask, don't tell...
