Yup.. We plan to escape, but so far only 2 out of 4 kids are self sufficient. 1 decent paying run and 2 to 4 goof off jobs a week, home every night That's one thing that changed since you were here. Most jobs pay fairly well now

I never pulled the trigger on a larger truck so don't think I'm in any way talking down to you. Have you looked into stuff nobody else will haul? I've made as much as $10.81 a mile. I don't have any US contacts, but I have ideas. DM me if you want a few. They will at least be worth what you...

I had to drive thru it. Fortunately less than 400 miles this time of week for entire day Wasn't more than a foot of snow, but heavy moisture packed that still has 6 inches stuck to the bottom of my van making it drive like it's loaded. In the face of headwinds constant at 30 mph gusting to...

Shiny If I were to decide I could make money with one, it would be an ancient FL70 Don't ignore short runs. 5, $200 localish moves is still $1000....usually pay is higher on short runs also to compensate for the lack of miles I take all the $300, 150 mile runs I can get in the small van

I got your answer in email, don't know why it isn't showing I wrote a long answer and decided it was too specific, here's the short version If that sounds high to you you just don't understand how small vehicles work. Just like I have absolutely no clue how to make it 1 month in a big truck...

    Big Truck Why

I've seen this post as I wandered around many times but never answered (new year's imbibing made me do it) Because I like $1000 a day And non 1099 places limits on my income. Not that I have anything to do with Trump, but I sure enjoy negotiating like him For everybody else, if you don't get...

Hey RoadTime Happy New Year! Ragman too he'll see this Local route. Landed another after 7 years, I have no worries - watching my fellow drivers go from $9000 pays to zero was something. But I've seen it before Local. Ragman gets it

Please advise on my new start.

If you can afford the vehicle outright and afford to lose 100% of your investment, go for it Just be ready to make less than minimum wage after expenses, until you find a niche that pays (of course you already have the insurance sorted out right? If the "apps" don't cover you, totally possible...

Why do so many contractors who 1099 off of owners suck balls?

There's going to be a real shortage of people answering that they suck balls I'm a contractor but I pay for my own insurance. Last run was 3.97 a mile usd - I don't really understand why people do the 1099 thing but it's probably because it's easy
