Isn't there a security something to own any firearm...background check?

In Canada there are 3 viable parties and a couple lesser parties and some independents...this keeps the 2 mainstream parties in check....A bill is passed on it's own merit NO earmarks allowed..THATS something that oughta be worked on down here...Another viable party will force a power shift...
