IF one owned the cargo van..overhead would be minimal say 35 for QC...25 for bob tail ins and 25 for worker comp...85 bucks top per week....@800 miles for .75 is 600 a week- the 85...515$ minus fuel of about 75 bucks =$440 a week.

To answer the question...No, not new...maybe a good used one and pay cash for it....and have some reserve..it might be doable....

If your carrier is doing mostly NLM and Ryder Logistics then yes they wait longer....but if the carrier has first call preference and customers of thier own then 48 hours is the most I've ever waited....at normal rate..not this .48 crap.... Carriers perpetuate the rumor and hence they try this...

Star...there's way more freight out of Laredo and Hildago and Brownsville areas then one could imagine....there is NO excuse to take .48 per....IMHO

When I called Larry this morning he had no idea it was up and running...asked about the time of requesting the 3 hour thingee...he didn't know....I did the 2nd request and got the no-no answer..so they must have changed it during my nap...
