I added to my original post...I gave the credit where due... While it does take away from future sales...it gave a boost when needed most....people have gotten a boost NOW...if not for the program millions of more people would have gone belly up now.. It gave the auto industry time to breathe...

I would think the administration cost was factored in,,,,it was a great make work project for civil servants...from the people who printed the checks right down to the compliance people who made sure the trade in was destroyed...and all the related paperwork... I think 24,000 is a stretch...

Unless I missed something the only one that made money was the individual states...collecting the sales tax but having no liability in the C4C program...
