    Sprinter 3500 Deck

And the new 3500's gross out at 11,000 now I believe.. Log territory! Not good at a cargo van rate.... The deck you would lose the ability to double stack some automotive bins...hence lost load opportunities.... The idea is to improve your odds of getting loads...not to diminish them...forget...

Would you run for a company if they had this?

At E-1 we get $1.00 per mile+FSC don't forget the 48" and over..you might only have 1 skid. The balance of your question comes down to. What do YOU think you are worth? and How much is a carrier going to pay you?... Call it fair market value lets say... The missing information is...HOW...

Would you run for a company if they had this?

No..can't see that..they want the ability to have the space IF they have more product then expected...nothing worse for a shipper to have 3-4 skids come off production line and they only ordered a C/V..now they have to order a second van...costs even more...

Would you run for a company if they had this?

Spoiled? *L* good one...:D Yes..in a perfect world...why should they not? A customer want to fill a certain size truck..the price SHOULD reflect the cost of operating that size.... A customer needs 30 feet PAYS for 30 feet..so a tractor shows up....there is 23 feet left over...should the...

    1 ton or 3/4 ton?

That pretty well says it all....in a nutshell.

    1 ton or 3/4 ton?

My rookie van was a 3/4T.gasser..made a whack of cash with it. But I think and that is just me..with the 1t extended....a little extra space for that 2 skids for your personal stuff...and you'd be more usable for heavier loads.

I suppose that is why some trucks/vans have a kill switch for the QC.....do the running around then come back and turn on again...voila..no move...I've personally seen the toggle...on/off switch.

Would you run for a company if they had this?

BTW there is only about a .19 difference between sprinter rate and straights...so the carrier actually saves a penny it doesn't cost them anything to move a truck....on a move by giving them a sprinter load...

Would you run for a company if they had this?

I understand Leo...dock high request..or consignee doesn't want to deal with a van...forklift can't get out in snow zones...all kinds of other reasons.

your looking at least 12-14,000 for a factory motor...Never would I put in a rebuild..not in a sprinter.
