No, didn't think of that. Trying to exhaust my local options first as I'm sure if rust repair is needed, will be down for a while. But good Idea :)

Man, running out of local options for this windshield/rust repair issue. The one shop that mostly likely could do it, is still oddly closed, (Vacation) ? o_O Need to find a place that can handle both jobs. Because I won't know if rust repair is even really needed, until the windshield is cut...

As tempting as that may be. If I was to drop that much money, I highly doubt I would stay in that vehicle class.

Of the two auto body shop places I visited, the 1st one confirmed what Safelite said, but didn't do rust repair work. The 2nd, which does rust repair was closed (despite their sign saying they would be back open today) Have a uneasy feeling about this one based one what the first...

Well, safelite guy said too much rust and need to go to a body shop first. Oddly, what he was looking at wasn't even a concern of mine. So, looks like I will be getting a 2nd option on the situation. Funny, of all the things that could go wrong with this Sprinter, a windshield replacement...

Well 1st problem of the day. Just got a call, windshield has not arrived :( 2nd potential problem. He's going to stop by today to check out the van. He mentioned rust problems in other vans preventing new installation. This was a past concern for me if I needed another windshield. Was hoping to...

Todays the day I get my new windshield...(I hope) After checking out my options when I got home and not wanting to hang out in a shop, decided to let Safelite come to me. Hopefully he shows up with the right windshield. Late last night, I remembered that due to a water leak, I had...

My Financial Battle of the Bulge

Thanks. Beans and rice, rice and beans. As Dave frequently says. A very tight budget. One important word I did learn during all of this was...No ;)

My Financial Battle of the Bulge

A multi-millionaire, I try not to think about it :dash2: I actually had my first exposure to the audio book back around 2008. Unfortunately, I was well on my path of destruction to bankruptcy by that time, and ended up selling it

My Financial Battle of the Bulge

Having won the battle of the bulge on my weight and health, I picked another fight along the way. About 10 months ago, I started to attack my financial bulge. Finding myself 25k (and rising) in debt (mostly credit cards) was taking its toll on my financial health. Basically, got to the point...

Well, so far really liking the new solar flood lights. Lights up the area I wanted pretty nice. I like that it stays on low power until motion is detected (about 26ft). Even though it's in a very sunny spot, will be interesting to see how it handles cloudy days. But for now, I like it ;)

    It's a Team's Life I forgot my brain…

These days I almost would rather drive (and sometimes do) to the local Pilot by me to avoid a ASAP dispatch from home. I can be 99.9% packed and still forget something in the rush. On my last rush out the door, I almost forgot my tablet that was charging. While getting the tablet I suddenly...

May the Power of One be with you

The load I had before this one got me thinking on the whole tracking thing. The customer wanted to track me via phone (first time for that). Seemed redundant, but after I stopped rolling my eyes, I went along with it. Don't know how well it worked on their end, but was pretty simple on mine.

Mystery solved. My lawn care guy emptied it on Friday. Which he would do now and then when I asked. But I didn't ask this time, so I wasn't expecting that

About 10 feet up. This is the one I got off Amazon. There is a pretty good video review of one in action to get a better Idea.
