    Rigmaster owners...

If someone told me a generator alternator cost $2,500 to repair, my next move would be to remove it from the generator and take it to a local rebuild shop to see if they can fix it there. We had a Rig Master on one of the fleet owner trucks we drove. There are other generators out there that...

    Reefer Choice & Why

We selected a Carrier over Thermo King not because of quality differences between the two. They are both good products with loyal fans. We selected a Carrier because of the dealer; Crows Truck Services in Memphis. Crows custom builds the carriage that secures the underbody reefer to the truck...

    Onan's "Revolutionary" New Generator

Staying at an RV park while waiting for our Monday pickup, I picked up an RV magazine and read about a new Onan Hybrid Quiet Diesel (HQD) generator (they call it a power unit) that is now available for motorhomes and coaches. (Family Motor Coaching, August 2007, pp. 62-68.) The article said...

RE: Question for Panther O/Os who booked there own Not so long ago, there was a thread started by a Panther driver on a load that got tangled up in the things you are asking about. I don't recall the driver's name or thread title. His post speaks directly to the questions you ask. Perhaps...

How long will you wait, till deadhead home

As I read your posts, kellmellus, I wonder if home means more to you than you are letting on. You gave four reasons for getting home (1) you don't like to sit, (2) runs are better there, 3) it keeps your wife from spending money in department stores, and (4) food and lodging costs are less at...

TSI in North Jackson, Ohio, has a well-deserved reputation as a generator repair facility. I know of truck owners that became Western Star owners, buying their trucks from TSI after having their generators worked on there. We have learned to not drive quickly away from a repair facility once a...

Broom's story reminds me of an event that happened in Atlanta, according to news sources. Driver...

    Am I The Only One???

Regarding my two suggestions, let me add this. The changes do not need to be made in one fell-swoop. In any number of ways, the new moderator practices can be announced ahead of time and introduced into the forums. The new ways can be eased into, not jolted into.
