I have a back up beeper on mine....it came with it...BUT it doesn't replace my responsibility to make sure the rear is clear and no one is approaching from either side...it is just another tool.... next thing they'll be mandating is braking devices for when one is tailgating...where does it stop?

I think the camera would take away complete attention from the task of backing up....what about the side action like approaching people or traffic, one could get too focused on watching that darned TV screen....for a small vehicle like a car IMO it is a waste....there is such a SMALL blind...
