and you could probably count on one hand the times a solo driver maxed out the 70 in a 5 day period....to have absolutely no time off between loads? what are the odds?...If a guy puts in 70 hours in 5 days he needs time off....

Overall shippers are getting smarter and more aware of their dept. budgets....these new, young plant manager bean counters will have that effect.... In the old days someone would yell out.."get me a van"......now a days its like they are looking for alternatives before they do.....like calling...

How can there not be a shortage? The kids out of high school can't drive TT till at least 23 yrs.... 100's of thousands leaving

What I've heard..no driver wants to do live loads because of what you stated, everyone wants to do drop and hook....the drop and hook carriers have a waiting list more so....

I suppose drivers know more then any other professional company man out there....since this is a concern for most carriers, but drivers know more then they do......:rolleyes:

Absolutely....there is no need to get bent out of shape over things we have no control over....Deal with it and move on the best ya can....sometimes the situations are so silly it gets laughable at times....there is enough stress out here without making it up more then it is...
