The way I seen it I had 3 options...replace engine, replace van or retire myself...other then engine and a few ther things that were original...and fortunately I had the resources..I went for the whole 9 yards....after many years in this biz I knew this day would come.
The deed was done....have...
I got excitable... Sorry guys....closer to $800,000 k over the years...
Actually it was $16,000 to replace everything motor related ahead of the firewall. And viola new van. I had no reservations about doing so..
Yes...It is all up to the individual who may chose to own one....the level of responsibility and level of time and care they chose to put into it....
most I find just want to turn the key and go....if that is the case...buy a North American slop bucket, step on the gas and go for it....LOL
There have always been hackers...
Cookies have been like forever....it is just getting a level deeper...
every time one scans a discount card at a retailer info is gathered....
info gathering is everywhere....
That is 1 reason IF I were in the market for a new van I would not buy a another sprinter....I don't want to deal with FL or an uppity Mercedes dealer....AND they still have problems with the DPF system....
AND to top it all off....2014 they will introduce an all NEW redesigned Sprinter....
I think Mercedes should do an competent ownership test before selling one to an American....
I am sure they would not sell very many....Americans just are not that consumer smart....
That is the thing Joe.....we are talking Mercedes here...a premium vehicle that requires at times premium service.....and the guys that bought them SHOULD have known this....these guys are suffering "buyers remorse"...for they knew nothing of what they did....
Water lines are laid from the well...
1/2 the garden is tilled....
1 flower bed tilled and new dirt installed....complete with some gladiola bulbs....
The tractor is running but needs a new battery...trip to town on Monday..:)
boy you guys are running on the cheap..
A sprinter that is not a lemon will NOT usually exceed 20% of your gross per year for any and all maintenance...20% is well within normal parameters....
I put this to you.......would you expect t $15.00 oil change from a Jaguar dealer? probably not...then...
I think Johns having an Easter egg hunt on Sunday for the drivers.....eggs will be hidden under the pee bottles in the creek ....the benefit being the bottles will get cleaned up FREE....LOL
sorry couldn't help but egg you all on....hahaha
