I think an officer would pull the plate and write a ticket "unsafe"......not being I don't believe he'd apply what you posted.... I've never heard of a temporary CMV?

Obviously they are not doing it enough....since a lot of theses yellow beasties are Illinois registered...and next issue is.....are they really taking HUGELY overweight loads or just a few hundred extra?.....because these things have such a heavy suspension they don't appear to squat much...

Yep....it would be a ticket....maybe $350 and a tow job IF the officer pulls my plate right there for being "unsafe" ....and then what....no CSA penalty for me....How many times do you even hear of this happening to John Q public?......These Yellow thingees play with them odds......

Heck I could put 5,000 lbs in my Sprinter and I wouldn't be illegal per say...just over manufacturers weight limits....I am not governed by any laws except common sense....BUT should I get into an accident and the other party sues my butt for everything I own....

In this day and age same could be said of Fords..... Snooty? Really? If you were to look back you'd see a recurring theme we snooty sprinter owners warning newbies that a Sprinter is NOT an entry level vehicle.

A sprinters is off by about 3-4 MPH...I allowed for that....

I ran for like 2 hours at 65 MPH on cruise not once did a ping read 65....around 62-63 mph it said...then of course there are those times I am doing 2,435 MPH.....wowsy!!!! LOL

Fleetvision is NOT accurate....no way anyone should use it for drivers speed....the wife has tracked me with cruise set for a few hours....every ping is incorrect....

There is a Walmart right there in Madison Ala....across from airport! could be air freight outta there....there is a Navistar engine plant close as well....

IF I were a fleet owner of CV's, I would speed limit them to 80 mph right off the top.....sprinters are factory limited to about 84 MPH.

when we delete a post it makes the page look ugly....one of the bad features of this software...but we are working on it....:)
