big or small carriers wouldn't be needed at all...in theory....independent O/O's with load board/ email access would and might be all that is needed.....except in times where scheduling multi truck orders...

John.... Why should we concern ourselves about a large conventional carriers problems.....are large carriers in expedite really needed? Brokerage houses, 3pls, 4pls....seem to be doing just fine. with what dwindling volume there seems to be....Unless I am missing something?....

Its that you can not control the sub groups that buy loads off the approved lists...someone would have to bear the cost to police the approved list that sub contracting is only to approved carriers.... The trucking industry has always had a dishonest reputation...some carriers and brokers have...

In my career I've come across shippers that know exactly that they have a 2-3 hr window to load us or unload us before D Time kicks in....and they take full advantage of it...it really is a piss off to know in 1 hour and 55 minutes you will get loaded...

keep in mind the replacement value rider....don't over value your van....I see some that do...that makes a whack of difference.... I have NO replacement rider on my million mile van....as what they charge works out to almost $1,000 per every $10,000 of coverage.... I am just hoping to hit a very...
